TranscriptJet is operated by an independent developer under the TranscriptJet name. You can contact the operator at support@transcriptjet.com.
Information we collect
We process account email and sign-in identifiers; submitted public video URLs, requested language, transcript results, task status, and timestamps. Guest abuse control stores a short-lived HMAC fingerprint derived from network and browser signals, not the raw IP address itself. Hosting and service providers may process network metadata in their own operational logs.
How we use your data
We use this information to create and display native-caption tasks, apply Free Beta limits, prevent abuse, and keep private transcript history. Guest transcript content is retained for 7 days and account transcript content for 30 days. The abuse fingerprint expires after 48 hours. Operational accounting records may outlive transcript content. We do not sell personal data or publish a public transcript archive.
Third-party services
TranscriptJet uses third-party infrastructure to operate the service. Neon provides authentication and database infrastructure, and Vercel hosts the application. Brevo may be used to deliver authentication email. When transcript retrieval through an external provider is enabled, Supadata may receive the submitted public video URL and requested language in order to retrieve available captions. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Cookies and browser storage
TranscriptJet uses cookies or equivalent browser storage necessary for guest task access and authenticated sessions. The workspace also uses temporary session storage to resume an in-progress task in the same browser. The current Free Beta does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Your choices and requests
You can delete individual transcript results from your workspace or account history. For account access, account closure, or broader data requests, contact support. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The current version and its effective date will be posted on this page. Where required by applicable law, additional notice will be provided.
